Inductors in Brushed Motor Drivers
The winding inductance of brushed motors is relatively small, and the driver circuit is mostly powered by DC. Inductor components are typically used for power supply filtering or as part of the freewheeling path in PWM driving, helping to smooth the current and absorb back electromotive force (EMF). The demand for inductors is relatively low, and the design is simpler.
