Inductors in Brushless Motor Drivers
Brushless motors have 3-phase windings with significant inductance characteristics, and the driver needs to control three-phase AC currents. Inductors play an important role in the circuit, affecting current waveforms and efficiency. When designing the driver, the winding inductance and back EMF must be considered, along with additional inductors (such as power supply filter inductors) to reduce current ripple and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Moreover, the inductance characteristics also impact the tuning and performance of the control algorithms.
